This print features the 19th-century-style mountain farmstead near Waynesboro, Virginia. The US Park Service, Department of Interior, has restored this site that was once the William T. Carter Farm. All of the current buildings and fences, including the log cabin shown, are authentic from this era but were moved to this location from other mountain settlements during the restoration.
