This print depicts historic Exchange Place in Kingsport, Tennessee, which functioned as a family farm in the mid-1800’s, but also has a unique history. Three times a week when the stagecoach ran carrying mail, freight and passengers, it stopped in this location so Virginia currency could be exchanged for that of Tennessee.
